Thought from a Sleep-Deprived Mind
It occured to me that the reason it was so easy to pull an all-nighter in college was that the late teens is the age at which, historically speaking, I should have been having babies and consequently been deprived of sleep.
And also, back then we could sleep in the next day or go to bed really really early. Whereas with baby-induced sleep deprivation, we have to just keep going, and going, and going . . .
That is an extremely profound observation!
