Today, Vinny lost a tooth for the first time! The permanent tooth had pushed it forward in his mouth until it was very precariously perched in his mouth. He wiggled and wiggled the tooth until finally it came out.
The neighboring tooth is starting to be pushed out in the same way by its corresponding permanent tooth. Coincidentally, he has a dentist appointment tomorrow. It will be interesting to hear what the dentist has to say!

He seems young to have lost a tooth. Or am I just losing track of his age?
He's 5, and I recall starting to lose teeth in Kindergarten, so if it is early, it runs in the family! :)
And yes, we do have the tooth fairy. Also I should mention that he lost a second tooth earlier this week.
I lost track! I didn't remember he was 5.
Blogging is funny, because you keep up with all these people you have never met, but in a sometimes abstract and intermittent way. Then sometimes someone will write a post about passage of time (e.g. your post, or ScientistMother's recent post about her kid turning 5) and I CAN'T BELIEVE we've been blogging that long!
